Australian Get Together

Join us for a get-together for all the Cycling Without Age affiliates and chapters in Australia who are on wheels or who are yet fundraising to get their elderly neighbours out and about. Other international chapters are welcome, too!

This meet-up will be an opportunity to meet fellow CWA affiliates and those interested in getting more involved. We’ll all share how CWAA can work, the purpose and true spirit behind it, and we will unfold the various ways of how each chapter may proceed, how we can all help one another get started, what you need to do, how to participate, how to share information and ideas, how to widen your network and much more!

 

We’re yet developing the programme and activities and all will be announced here as we approach the date:

Topics we’ll touch upon: solidarity, storytelling, mental health, social relations among elderly, well-being, quality of life, mobility, organising communities, collective impact, intergenerational activities, ageing, social innovation. We encourage everyone to participate whether you’re the local initiator, care staff, pilot, a new affiliate or from an up and running chapter. We hope to see representatives and delegation from all around the country – let’s cultivate our mutual network, share our stories, build relations, and inspire each other!

Be prepared to make new friends – be prepared to explore Bayside area by bike – be prepared to return home passionate for more wind in the hair!

Participation fee: $100
It includes meals (from Friday night – all day Saturday – to Sunday lunch), snacks, welcome materials, workshops.
