Pernille Bussone

Pernille is a social activist passionate about cycling and gender equality. With degrees from the TATA Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and the University of Copenhagen, she transitioned from the corporate world to focus on non-profit work. Over the past decade, she has been deeply involved with the Association of Women for Action and Research in India and Singapore, teaching teenagers about trust, self-esteem, gender, relationships, and more.

Inspired by Ole Kassow, Pernille spearheaded the Cycling Without Age initiative in Singapore. Her efforts have helped legalize the use of trishaws for intergenerational rides, demonstrating that ordinary people can drive systemic change. She has also been active in the anti-death penalty movement in Singapore.

Pernille’s work has extended globally, launching thousands of Cycling Without Age locations. She is French-Danish bilingual, fluent in English, and spent part of her childhood in Western Africa.
