I loved cycling with Mr. Hart. He was so excited about the
experience – from the moment we adjusted his helmet to
fit just right, to when he was telling us about the ships
we saw along the waterfront. He knew all about the
ships as he used to work at the shipyards in Richmond.
We stopped at Fisherman’s Wharf to watch the sea lions
lying in the sun and barking at each other and to watch
the ships go by. Seeing how much Mr. Hart appreciated
the ride, fresh air, and the beautiful day made the whole
experience even better for me.
As an employee at Zendesk I feel very privileged to
have the opportunity to take Curry seniors for weekly
rides as a part of the company’s volunteer program.
I live far away from my grandparents, and Cycling
Without Age is exactly the kind of activity that I hope
is accessible to them, given that I can’t take them for
a ride myself.
